Beer Sales Start Today at Giant Eagle in Cranberry

Grocery store selection features more than 200 beers.

Shoppers at the in Cranberry now will be able to bring home .

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board gave the grocer approval to sell beer at its store starting Friday.

As with other Giant Eagle locations, beer sales will be limited to two beers for on-premise restaurant consumption when purchased with food. Shoppers may buy two six-packs to take out of the store.

The selection will feature 250 beers and other malt beverages in stock with a focus on microbrews, craft beers and premium brands, Giant Eagle said.

Beer sales aren’t the only changes at the store. In June, c. Some of the additions include an Asian buffet, a made-to-order sub shop and a large, new health, beauty and wellness section.

Giant Eagle began in-store sales of beer in November 2009 in the state. The chain is licensed to sell beer from café-style areas in 29 stores across Western Pennsylvania, including the Giant Eagle on Route 228 in Seven Fields.
