Cranberry area residents will be welcomed at the barre this weekend—and no, we’re not talking about cocktails for happy hour.
Ballet barre studio The Daily Method opens Friday at the former Couture D’Jour clothing store in the Village at Pine Shopping Center in nearby Pine Township.
Founded by San Francisco native Jill Dailey McIntosh 13 years ago, The Dailey Method combines ballet barre work, core conditioning, stretching and orthopedic exercises.
Although the fitness franchise has 35 locations around the world, the Pine location will be the first in the Pittsburgh area.
Owner and instructor Joanna Amelio, of McCandless, said Daily Method exercises focus on different body parts to sculpt long lean muscles in the abdominals, back, shoulders, quadriceps and calves similar to a dancer’s body—quickly.
“Literally, in three weeks I saw dramatic changes in my body,” Amelio, a longtime fan of the practice, said.
Besides the workout room, the 1,600 square foot facility will house changing rooms, showers and a staffed, child-friendly room where customers may drop off their kids while they take classes.
The grand open Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 will include free classes and prize giveaways at the studio.
In addition, a special unlimited six-week Package for $100 is available through April 27. Once opened, a special four-week unlimited package is an option, Amelio said. To learn more about The Daily Method studio in Pine, click here.
