One for the Road

1 For the Road Beer Emporium and Taproom

Summertime is here and it’s a perfect time to enjoy craft beer. The warm weather offers up a golden opportunity to expand your beer experience even further. I can think of no better place to do this in the Cranberry Township area than 1 for the Road Beer Emporium and Taproom.

Formerly 3 Son’s Dogs and Suds, 1 for the Road is located at 10974 Perry Highway in Wexford, a short trip south for anyone living in the Cranberry area and well worth the trip. If you have been to 3 Son’s in the past I implore you to visit One for the Road to see the changes and improvements they've made since their grand opening.

Mike Indovina and his family purchased 3 Son’s Dogs and Suds late last year and have been making changes for the better ever since. In addition to boasting more than 800 craft, import, Belgium and domestic bottles, they added 12 beers on tap that are in constant rotation as well as an expanding food menu that will soon include a variety of hot wings.

Also new to the mix are two punch cards good for either one free draft or sandwich of your choice (buy 10 get 1 free). Enjoy your free food and beverage indoors or on the patio as they have also expanded the seating to accommodate more beer aficionados like yourself.

Keeping with tradition, they continue to host weekly beer samplings every Thursday night from 7 to 9 p.m. In addition, they have added a bit of fun to the mix with a free team trivia game on Wednesday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. with prizes available for the winners.

The ever-popular “Around the World” passport card now includes 150 beers (including draft selections) for you to virtually experience craft beer from all over the planet. You receive a passport itinerary of 150 breweries and each time you cross one off the list you are one step closer to some great rewards.

Once completed, you will have permanent recognition on their World Traveler Plaque along with a T-shirt, membership in the mug club (20 oz. mug filled for the 16 oz. price) and additional in-store discounts on your birthday and holidays.

I encourage you to stop by 1 for the Road with your friends and family. I can promise that it will be an enjoyable experience. Mike and Kathy, along with their daughter, Rebecca, and son, Mikey, are gracious hosts and all-around good people.

With all that said, please don’t forget the most important thing, if you see me there on your visit, don’t hesitate to buy me a beer!

Cheers!
