Jackie Evancho to Make Guest Appearance on 'America's Got Talent' Finale

Richland Township girl returns to the show that started it all.

Jackie Evancho is returning to the stage that launched her international stardom.

The 11-year-old is scheduled to perform Sept. 14 on this season’s finale of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, the show that brought her fame last summer.

In the year since then, she has performed across the United States, Great Britain and Canada, appeared on a number of TV shows to promote her , and performed a solo concert for .

According to a posting on Jackie’s Facebook page, she will perform Nessun Dorma on America's Got Talent's finale, which will air locally at 8 p.m. on NBC affiliate WPXI.

“Jackie is very excited to be going back on the America’s Got Talentstage,” said her father, Mike Evancho, from his Richland Township home.

“When she is watching this season, Jackie has been saying, ‘I wish I was still competing on that show.’”

According to her father, Jackie had a great time on America’s Got Talent and made good friends with whom she still stays in touch.

“Jackie is very fond of Piers, Sharon, Howie and Nick and can’t wait to see them again,” said Mike, referring to the show’s judges, Piers Morgan, Sharon OsbourneHowie Mandel and host Nick Cannon.

Jackie’s appearance on America’s Got Talentis “full circle” for her dad, Mike Evancho said.

“A year ago Jackie was competing on the show hoping that her dreams would come true,” he said, “And now, after an amazing year where she established herself as a legitimate recording artist and broke a few longstanding records along the way, Jackie is coming back to the same stage that helped launch her, but now as a guest performer.”
