The folks at in Wexford make it easy and affordable to escape the weekday rush with their Date Nite: Dinner and a Movie event on Tuesday, March 8.

“It’s a great option for people who don’t have grandparents or babysitters locally,” said restaurant co-owner Sandy Hughes.

With the children entertained, you and your significant other can relax over dinner in the main dining room where Tuesday is Crab Night – a half-pound of snow crab legs for $8.99 or a pound for $15.99.

For a more lively night out, try eating in the restaurant’s bar.  It’s happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. with half-price tapas and appetizers and a variety of drink specials. Try gorgonzola wings, Kobe sliders or crab cakes.

“You can actually make a meal out of them,” said Hughes.

What if your hubby has to work late or he's out of town on Tuesday?  Don’t let that stop you from taking advantage of the event.

“We have groups of moms come out and make it a girls’ night out," said Hughes. "People are using it in different ways."

Dinner is $5 per child and includes a drink, meal and dessert. You may drop off your children anytime after 6:15 p.m. The movie ends by 8:30 p.m. For more information or to make a reservation, call 724-934-2110.
