Save the chapel! The Strand will raise its ticket price to $6 and donate $2 of every ticket sold to FIX THE CHAPEL, the fund to restore chapel in the Evans City Cemetery, a key location in the movie.

George Romero’s low-budget flick defined a genre, spawned countless remakes and sequels and put Evans City on the "horror" map. Romero opted to film the movie in black and white not only to save money, but because he felt it would be too gory in color. Bosco chocolate syrup was used to simulate the blood.
