Cranberry to Offer Studio Art and Dance Classes for Kids

The classes are age-specific and tailored for children.

 

Cranberry Township is offering an array of arts classes for area children.

Three age-specific dance classes and five age-specific studio art classes will be offered at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center beginning in September.

The dance classes are intended to help young children discover movement, balance, rhythm and basic dance skills.

There will be twelve one-hour weekly sessions for three to five year olds and four and a half to six year olds, as well as half hour classes for toddlers to three year olds.

The classes will be taught by dance instructor Cathy Kelly, who has taught dance since 1991.

The studio art classes help children explore their creativity and use age appropriate materials and methods.

There will be six 45 minute weekly classes for three and four year olds, six one hour classes for five year olds and eight weekly 90 minute classes for children six to nine.

Art instructor Jennifer Steele will teach the classes.

Cost of the dance programs range from $80 to $88 and are $10 more expensive for non-residents. Cost of the studio art classes range from $65 to $105 and are also $10 more expensive for non-residents.
