Cranberry Library to Start Offering eBooks

The is expanding its services.

Starting today, the library will offer eBooks available to download from its website. Library cardholders can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting http://lamb.lib.overdrive.com/. 

The service is made possible through the New Castle District Library Center, which  Cranberry Library is part of. The New Castle District Library System also includes libraries in Lawrence, Armstrong, Mercer, and Butler counties. All libraries in the district also will offer the eBook service.

Users may browse the library’s website, check out with a valid library card, and download to PC, Mac and many mobile devices.  To read eBooks, users will need Adobe Digital Editions. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including the iPod, Sony Reader and many others.

Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees on these items!

Also thanks to district services, the library’s collection of downloadable audio titles is expanding. Using the OverDrive platform, users will need to download free software called OverDrive Media Console to access downloadable audio titles.
