Wind Gusts of Up to 55 mph Forecast for Friday

Wind advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory—forecasting wind gusts of up to 55 mph—for 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday in Western Pennsylvania and parts of northern West Virginia.

A wind advisory means wind gusts greater than 45 mph are expected, which can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles, according to the weather service's website.

Strong winds can also bring down tree limbs and power lines, the weather service warns.
