Video: Putting On the Ritz at West Penn Burn Camp

Tuesday night meant magic and music at West Penn's Burn Camp 2011, a celebration of 25 years of helping burned children heal.

Cue the red carpet.

On Tuesday, Zelienople's Camp Kon-O-Kwee gave a superstar's welcome to children treated for burns at Pittsburgh's West Penn Hospital.

An all-day event and formal gala, West Penn's Burn Camp 2011 celebrated 25 years of helping burned children heal. Free to any child treated at West Penn's Burn Center, the camp is held every year at Camp Kon-O-Kwee.

The day kicked off with hiking, rope climbing, volleyball and swimming before the girls in the group were treated to makeovers by Amy Porter-Greco of New Castle.

Campers then headed to their cabins and got dressed in formalwear provided by David’s Bridal, JC Penney and Payless.

From there, the 31 campers took limos to the party, where they were given a red carpet entrance.

With the girls in gowns and glitter and the boys sporting boutonnieres, the campers were treated to the sparkling magic of Tim Kutch before hitting the dance floor.

The glamorous event was sponsored by several local businesses and organizations, including members of Pittsburgh's Fire & Iron Motorcycle Club Station 6, whose fundraising efforts help provide the night's fashions.
