Traffic Alert: Bridge Work Taking Place on I-79 and I-279

Motorists should expect lane restrictions.

Motorists should be on the lookout for orange cones this week on Interstate 79 and Interstate 279.

PennDOT will conduct bridge inspections activities on the bridge that carries northbound I-79 over southbound I-279 in Franklin Park Thursday, Aug. 22 and Friday, Aug. 23, weather permitting. 

Single lane restrictions in the bridge area will occur as needed on both northbound I-79 and southbound I-279 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the project. 

Motorists are advised to use caution, slow down and expect changing traffic patterns.
