Cranberry Area Remains Under Flash Flood Watch

A tornado watch also was established for most of the Pittsburgh region.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for most of western Pennsylvania, including Allegheny and Washington counties, until midnight Wednesday.

A flash flood watch is also in effect from 10 p.m. Wednesday through 6 p.m. Thursday.

Two rounds of heavy thunderstorms are expected by Thursday afternoon.

Here's the latest forecast:

Thursday: Showers and thunderstorms before 3 p.m., then showers likely. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. High near 74. Southwest wind 10 to 13 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53. Northwest wind 7 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
