The Meanest-Looking Mommy Wins

We all have our mean mommy faces. You know, the ones that can stop a whiny toddler, rowdy child or surly teen right in his tracks. It's the squint of the eyes, the furrow of the brow and the disapproving purse of the lips.

Unfortunately, those faces leave their mark: permanent furrows in the brow, crow's feet around the eyes and lines on the lips.

Now wants to help one particularly mean mommy return to her nice mommy face. It’s calling all mommies to enter the Meanest Mommy Face Photo Contest. The spa has locations in Wexford, Mt. Lebanon and Shadyside.

You don't even have to be a mom. Ines Brady, general manager of the Wexford location, says the contest is open to all women.

"If you don't have kids, you should still have a good mean mommy face," says Brady. "If you're going to have kids eventually, you'll need to practice. If you're going to have grandkids, you need to refresh your technique. And if you don't have kids and don't want them, you need to have the face that keeps other kids in line, like wild children in grocery stores."

Dr. Dominic A. Brandy and his medical staff will select 11 finalists. Fans of The Skin Center Medical Spa's Facebook page will vote from among the finalists for the winner of the grand prize facial makeover package at The Skin Center Medical Spa.

The grand prize winner will receive a $5,000 facial makeover, including:

• Thermage® Nonsurgical Facelift

• BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment of two facial areas

All 11 finalists will receive a BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment for frown lines.

The downside? You won't be able to make that mean mommy face, at least for a while, so your kids might experience a spike in bad behavior. But you'll be so relaxed from your fabulous spa treatment, you won't really care.

The deadline to enter the contest is April 30. Here’s how to enter:

• Complete the registration form

• Take a picture of you with your meanest mommy face

• Upload the photo to complete your registration
