Senior Golf Passes Available Today at North Park, South Park

Regular-season passes cost $60 for seniors in the 55-and-up age bracket.

Spring's warmer temperatures might make you want to brush up on your golf game.

For seniors looking to save money, discounted golf passes for North Park and South Park go on sale today for the 2011 regular season, according to the Allegheny County Parks Department.

Golfers ages 55 and older are eligible for the special $60 senior passes.

Seniors may purchase the passes between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the North Park and South Park clubhouses. Locker rentals may also be purchased for $25 each beginning on March 14.

The winter golf season continues at the North and South courses through Sunday as long as the weather and conditions permit, according to the parks department.

Regular season play begins April 1, the parks department announced, and the courses will close Monday for regular-season preparation.
