'Scene’ at Zelienople: Horses on Parade

Horse Trading Days celebrates 50 years in Zelienople and Harmony.

Friday’s rains and gray skies weren’t enough to put a halt to the annual Zelienople and Harmony Horse Trading Days—including the Round Up Horse Parade.

With riders dressed up as cowboys, Native Americans and a variety of other getups, the horses trotted down Zelienople’s Main Street Friday to a cheering crowd.

Now in its 50th year, the celebration took place Thursday, July 18 through Saturday, July 20 and featured games, food, horse-drawn wagon rides and concerts as well as the Little Mr. and Miss Horse Trading pageant.
