That construction will last a few more months, according to Giant Eagle spokesperson, Dick Roberts.

According to Roberts, the renovations started a few weeks ago and will probably last until at least the end of the year. “Hopefully, they will done for the New Year, but like all renovations, you never know until it is done,” he said.

The renovations include some welcome additions including a new Asian Buffet; made-to-order sub shop; a large, new health, beauty and wellness section and perhaps the most anticipated of all, beer sales. “The beer sales will probably be the most significant addition, but there will a lot of new things,” said Roberts.

Although Roberts didn’t know the square footage of the renovations and/or additions, he did say the changes will be nice change for the store. As the work continues, Giant Eagle will issue updates. “Construction is always a work in progress,” he said.
