PennDOT announced Monday that it will replace a structurally deficient bridge on Route 68 in Zelienople.

Along with the bridge replacement, the $942,053 project also will consist of the vertical and horizontal realignment of Route 68.

The construction will be built offline and should not affect traffic until roadway tie-ins near the project’s completion, PennDOT said. Donegal Construction Corp. of Greensburg is slated to do the work.
