Patch Pets: Bailey will Play Fetch with You

This gentle dog is young at heart.

Meet Bailey, a tan and black German shepherd/beagle mix. The 10-year-old was found as a stray and taken to Animal Friends, where he is hoping to find an adoptive family to give him a new home in which to spend his golden years.

Bailey is sweet and friendly and has the most expressive eyes.

His favorite toy is a stuffed doll, and he loves to cuddle with it. He is very playful for his age and enjoys playing fetch in the Animal Friends play areas. He will even exchange his ball for a treat or two.

Bailey walks nicely on a loose leash, and he knows to sit and stay when told. He appears to be house-trained because his kennel is always tidy and clean. Bailey is calm and social and gets along well with his other kennel mates.

He will need to exercise to help him lose some weight. He is happiest when receiving attention and hugs from the Animal Friends staff and volunteers.
