With fall officially here there are a plethora of Halloween-related events popping up around the community. Here’s our guide to October events so you don’t miss a thing!
Zelienople-Harmony Country Fall Festival
Be festive this fall! The hometown fair, including activities in Zelienople's four corners and Harmony, takes place Oct. 13-14. Trick or Treat Trail and Halloween Party at Fun Fore All
Fun Fore All in Cranberry is holding a Trick or Treat Trail from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Saturday in October. All kids who dress up in costume and walk the trail will be entered in a weekly, random drawing to receive a $25 Fun Card. A portion of the proceeds from the admissions price benefits the Rowan Elementary PTO.
Fun Fore All also will hold a Halloween party from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday Oct. 27. The cost is $11.99 per person ($2 from each party admission benefits the Rowan Elementary PTO). The event includes a buffet, unlimited miniature golf and more.
St. Gregory Great Pumpkin Race 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run
St. Gregory School in Zelienople will holds its third annual Great Pumpkin Race 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run at 5 p.m. Sunday. Oct. 28 in Zelienople. Registration starts that day at 3:30 p.m. in the back parking lot of St. Gregory School.
Everyone is encouraged to run in costume. There also is a Halloween party with costume judging and awards for the runners after the race. The cost is $20 per runner or $50 per family of three (the cost for each additional person is $10). Proceeds benefit the school.

Kid's Monster Mash Bash
The Friends of the Zelienople-Harmony Park is hosting its second annual Kid's Monster Mash Bash Halloween Party from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Zelie Park Hill in Shelter #2.
There is no fee, but donations for the nonprofit will be accepted. Activities include a spooky haunted trail, games, music and a campfire.
Adults-Only Monster Mash Bash
The Friends of the Zelienople-Harmony Park also is sponsoring its popular Monster Mash Bash for adults. The event takes place from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Harmony Barn on Mercer Street in Harmony. Tickets are $25 each.
Costumes are encouraged, but optional, at the party. Prizes will be awarded in several categories, including scariest, funniest and best couple. Entertainment at the BYOB event includes a deejay, a buffet dinner, pig roast, bonfire and more. For more information, or for tickets, visit the FOTP website.
Family Hayrides at Cranberry Highlands
Cranberry Township’s annual fall family hayrides around the Cranberry Highlands Golf Course will take place Sunday, Oct. 21. In addition to a half-hour ride, each participant will each receive a hot dog, a drink, a cookie and a small pumpkin either prior to or just after their ride.
Reservations must be placed by Oct. 17. The cost is $12 per child. There is no charge for adults who ride with children. Registration is available by phone at 724-776-4806 x1129 or online at www.cranberrytownship.org/programs
Spookapalooza at Cranberry
Cranberry's Parks and Recreation department will hold Spookapalooza from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Lions Shelter at Cranberry Community Park. Come dressed in costume to the event, which will feature story telling and a pumpkin hunt. The cost is $13 per person. Click here to register online.
Cranberry Sunrise Rotary Zombie 5K & 1 Mile Candy Corn Family Fun Run & Walk
Join your friends and neighbors in costume at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 for the Third Annual Cranberry Sunrise Rotary Zombie 5K & 1 Mile Candy Corn Family Fun Run & Walk. The event takes place at North Boundary Park in Cranberry. The cost is $20 for either race, $25 for both races or $50 for a family of four.
Evans City Halloween Parade
The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. Saturday. Oct. 27 in the borough.
Zelienople Halloween Parade
Break out your costumes for the annual Halloween parade at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 in Zelienople.
Haunted Halloween at Adams Township Park
Residents are invited to the Rotary pavilion at 1 p.m Saturday, Oct. 27, in the Adams Township park to take part in some spooky fun. Wear your costume for the costume contest and take part in scary fun crafts. There will also be games such as pumpkin bowling, bean bag toss and bobbing for apples.
Ghost Hunting at the Old Stone House
Learn to use the latest ghost hunting equipment as you search for spirits with The Center for Paranormal Study and Investigation at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 at the Old Stone House in Slippery Rock. The cost is $15 per person. For more information, call 724-738-4964 or visit www.oldstonehousepa.org.
