1. Seneca Valley School Board Meeting

What’s going on in your child’s school? Find out in person when Seneca Valley school officials meet at 8 p.m. Monday at the Intermediate High School in Jackson Township.

2. Cranberry Planning Advisory Commission

Get the scoop on what developments are in the works for Cranberry. The commission meets at 6 p.m. tonight for its work session at the Cranberry Township Municipal Building on Rochester Road.

3. Drum & Chant Workshop with Jim Donovan, founder of Rusted Root

Jim Donovan, one of Rusted Root’s founding members, is ready to share his musical experience with others. Donovan will lead a drum and chant workshop from 7 to 9 p.m. March 8 at Bottlebrush: A Gallery for the Arts in Harmony. Beginners are welcome at the event. The drums will be provided

4. Wendereusz's Candy & More Celebrates One Year Anniversary

Sample a variety of chocolates and browse Easter candy at Wendereusz’s Candy & More along Main Street in Evans City celebrates its one-year anniversary. There will be an open house from 10 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 8, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 9 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 9.

5. Bone Marrow Donor Registry Drive

A bone marrow donor registry drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 9 inside Senior/Teen Center of the Cranberry Township Municipal Building to help promote the “Be The Match Foundation” and grow the registry. While there, individuals will be educated in the importance of bone marrow donations and the benefits of becoming a donor.

All that is required of the individual at the event is to fill out a short questionnaire and receive a cheek swab to be tested for potential matches. There is no binding commitment and no fee.
