1. Seneca Valley School Board Meeting

What’s going on in your child’s school? Find out in person when meet at 8 p.m. Monday at the in Jackson Township with their workshop meeting. The board is expected to review its student wellness policy as well as a new allergy policy.

will host a college and career school fair from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the high school gymnasium.

About 85 school representatives from state universities, private colleges, community colleges, technical, beauty, nursing, art, culinary and business schools and the military will be in attendance at the event.

3. SV JROTC 5K Run to Benefit Crohn’s Disease

Seneca Valley’s JROTC organization will sponsor a 5K Run/Walk Saturday at the . Registration time is from 7:30 to 8 a.m. The run starts at 8:15 a.m. and the awards ceremony is a 9 a.m. The cost is $30 on race day and includes a T-shirt. Proceeds benefit the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.

Looking for an opportunity to spend two hours on a Friday night doing whatever you want to do in a kid-free zone? Here’s your opportunity. A “Parents Night Out” will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at in Zelienople.

The format is kids from 12 months through 5th grade. Attendees will take part in playing games, snacks and telling adventure stories from the Bible. RSVP by email to brooke@hzumc.org or call 724-452-7670.

is holding an Earth Day celebration on Sunday. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. there will be a community yard sale, local vendors, activities for kids, food and drinks. There also will be a speaker on environmental issues. From 5 to 11 p.m., there will be a deejay, food and bonfire. The event is BYOB.
