3. 9/11 Memorial Dedication

The public is invited to join Cranberry the Township Volunteer Fire Company for at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Park Station on Route 19.

The memorial is structured around that fell from one of the World Trade Center towers on Sept. 11 2001. Two slabs of granite shaped like the Twin Towers will hold up the damaged I-beam. A likeness of the New York City block where the buildings were located also has been etched into the concrete surrounding the beam.

4. Taste of Cranberry

Sponsored and hosted by The Chamber of Commerce Inc. at the gym inside the More than 20 area restaurants will be at the gathering.

Tickets are on sale now in The Chamber office in the municipal center. The cost is $12 per ticket for adults and $5 for children. Children age 4 and younger eat free. Partial proceeds from the event benefit the Butler County Humane Society.

5. Cranberry Zumbathon

Local Zumba instructors will come together for a Zumbathon from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the gym inside the Proceeds from the event, which is sponsored by the Cranberry Township Parks and Recreation department, benefit the Western Pennsylvania Alzheimer's Association. There will be prizes, raffles, refreshments and more at the event.
