1. Cranberry Planning Advisory Commission

Get the scoop on what developments are in the works for Cranberry. The commission meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28 at the Cranberry Township Municipal Building on Rochester Road.

2. St. Gregory School Book Fair

St. Gregory School in Zelienople will hold its annual book fair during Catholic School Week, Monday, Jan. 28 through Friday, Feb. 1.

3. Cranberry Board of Supervisors Meeting

Find out in person what’s going on in township government. Cranberry’s board of supervisors will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31 inside council chambers at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center.

4. “Yarn Tasting” and Open House

Enjoy hot beverages and munchies while sampling new organic, eco-friendly yarns from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1 at Darn Yarn Needles & Thread inside The Center of Harmony on Mercer Street in Harmony. All Verde yarns will be 15 percent off and the first 10 customers will receive a door prize.

5. Groundhog Day

Forget the weatherman, will Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow? Have we seen the last of the snow or are we destined for six more weeks of winter? The world will find out Saturday, Feb. 2 when the world’s most famous groundhog emerges from his burrow on Gobbler’s Knob.
