Five Things You Need to Know This Week

1. Free Holiday Parking in Zelienople

Save your quarters until after Christmas! Free two-hour parking at the meters along Main Street in Zelienople and in the municipal lots, excluding the borough building parking lot, begins Monday, Nov. 26 and lasts through Dec. 26.

2. It’s a Wonderful Life at Comtra Theatre

Get into the holiday spirit with a performance of It's a Wonderful Life at the Comtra Theatre in Cranberry. 

Based on the film by Frank Capra, the timeless story of George Bailey, Clarence the Angel and Bedford Falls shows how just one man can make a difference. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. The cost is $12 per ticket. For more performance dates, click here.

3. Pet Photos with Santa

Get your pooch’s photo taken with Jolly Old St. Nick. The Friends of the Library is sponsoring Pet Photos with Santa from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Cranberry Public Library’s Children's Program Room.

The cost is $10 per photo and includes a holiday card frame and envelope. Photos are by appointment only. To reserve a spot, call 724-776-9100.

4. Used Clothing Sale

St. Gregory’s Church in Zelienople will hold a used clothing sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at the “blue room.” Donations benefit the St. Vincent DePaul Society.

5. A Circle of Friends Choirs Holiday Concert Series

A Circle of Friends Choirs’ winter performance schedule kicks off at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Zelienople.

The show features holiday music ranging from popular favorites to selections observing the Christian celebration Christmas. The group includes more than 40 members and features hand bells, musicians and vocalists who perform on behalf of local organizations to raise funds for various causes.
