Multiple dressing rooms will be available on site with attendants to help as needed. Seamstresses also will be on-hand to provide free consultations and minor alterations.

“Every teenage girl should be able to attend their prom, but unfortunately many families cannot afford the expense that goes along with it,” said Kelly Stebor, 2nd Life Prom Dress Sale coordinator. “The beautiful, barely worn dresses donated from members of the community and surrounding bridal/prom dress shops were probably very expensive.

Our sale allows another girl to enjoy the dress before it goes out of style. And we price the dresses low enough to ensure that every teenage girl can afford to attend their prom.”

The church will continue to accept donated gowns, formal jewelry, and shoes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday until March 15 at the church office. A tax donation receipt is available upon request.

CCUP accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. All proceeds from the sale go to various outreach ministries of the church.

Last year, more than 350 girls were camped outside the church before the doors to the event even opened.

This year, a waiting room opens at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 16 in the upper level of the church, where coffee will be available. The church café opens at 9 a.m. with sandwiches, salads, drinks and cupcakes for sale.
