Man's Best Friend: Dog Helps Save Cranberry Man's Life

A foster dog reportedly ran for help after the Cranberry man had a heart attack in his yard.

A foster pit bull mix helped save a Cranberry man's life.

Chuck Weintraub was mowing his lawn on July 3 when he collapsed during a heart attack. His foster dog Cloe ran to the neighbors for help, according to KDKA.

Michael Brock told the reporter he tried to leash the dog, but she kept backing up and led the way to Weintraub.

Another neighbor, who is a nurse, heard the commotion and performed CPR.

Weintraub woke up three days after the heart attack and now has a pacemaker. He tells KDKA that he and his wife will continue to foster the devoted Cloe and only give her up to the right family.
