Cranberry Neighbors Spot Black Bear in Backyard

A Cranberry Township woman told KDKA she's a little on edge after spotting a black bear in her backyard.

Lisa Killough was sitting outside of her home Saturday night when she saw the animal. At first she thought it was a dog, but she quickly realized it was actually a bear near her children's swing set.

She ran into her house and took photos with her cell phone. Her neighbor also saw the bear and called Wild Conservation officers.

Killough told KDKA she didn't feel threatened, just hesitant to let her boys back out in the yard.

The report didn't say exactly where the bear was located, but Killough said "it's not like we're in the middle of nowhere."

This isn't the first bear sighting in Cranberry. A 200-pound bear climbed a tree outside of Buffalo Wild Wings in December.
