Cranberry Jewish Community Batters Up for Pirates Game

Tickets to the June 10 home game are one sale now.

Members of the Cranberry Jewish Community Association and their invited friends are warming up for a historic encounter between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Kansas City Royals in a rare inter-league game Sunday, June 10 at PNC Park.

The game starts at 1:35 p.m. Those who purchase tickets through the CJC will receive a Roberto Clemente commemorative jersey.

As part of the Pirates' season-long Sunday Kids Days promotion, children age 12 and younger will receive Pirates-monogrammed sunglasses at the gate. A Family Fun Zone on Federal Street will be held from 11 to 1 p.m. prior to the game. Kids also are invited to run the bases on the field after the game.

The cost is $25 per ticket. Participants are encouraged to reserve their seats as soon as possible. Send reservations, along with payment, to Ruth Ralston, 401 Three Degree Road, Renfrew, PA 16053 by May 16.

Checks should be made payable to CJC Treasurer Ruth Ralston. Include the number of tickets you would like, a contact phone number, an e-mail address and your mailing address so CJC is able to send you the tickets.

For more information, call Jack Cohen, CJC president, at 724-272-1248.

The CJC was formed two years ago to foster fellowship and promote cultural events for the Cranberry area Jewish community.
