Cranberry EMS Subscription Drive in Full Swing

is reminding area residents that it’s not too late to sign up for a subscription to the ambulance service.

After kicking things off in October with a , the subscription drive now is in full swing. With a subscription to Cranberry EMS, users will not incur any unnecessary bills for medically-necessary emergency service, regardless of insurance coverage.

Here’s how the subscription plan works: For $60, all permanent members of a household are eligible to use the service without co-payment or insurance deductions as often as needed during the year. The $45 individual subscription plan offers the same benefits but only for the person named on the subscription card.  A $40 senior citizen subscription covers any individual or couple 62 or older living at the same address.

The subscription will be honored Jan. 1, 2012, through Jan. 1, 2013. If you have yet to receive the latest membership subscription card, contact the station. Jeff Kelly, executive director of Cranberry EMS, said the subscription cards can be picked up at the station on Thomson Park Drive or mailed to the home.

Cranberry EMS is the township’s officially designated 911 responder for incidents requiring ambulance service. Although its roster includes a few unpaid personnel, the company’s staff, equipment and facilities are self-funded.
