"It's just a chance to talk about things that are new and what's happening in the township," said Judi Boren of the Cranberry Township Communications Team.

Brush Creek Treatment Plant has a planned upgrade for 2015, which manager of plant operations Mike Seton believes might come up during the question session.

"If any of the residents have questions about the plant expansion I think we have potential to address those questions at that time," said Seton.

Seton said that attendees would first be given a tour of the facility to show the daily operations of the plant.

"I guess some people really don't want to know what happens when they flush the toilet, but it's pretty interesting," Boren said. "There are a lot of regulations. It's certainly comes a long way from the days of the outhouse or when pioneers threw it out in the street."

The event is this Thursday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A RSVP is not required, but appreciated. Call the township at 724-776-4806 to reserve your spot.
