Double Wide Grill to Host 1st Annual Lucky's Mars Area Dog Festival

After the success of last year’s first annual Lucky’s South Side Dog Festival, Double Wide Grill has announced that the festival will take place at both restaurant locations this year. The 1st Annual Lucky’s Mars Area Dog Festival will be on Sunday July 20th at Double Wide Grill on Route 228 in the Adams Shoppes. The event is free and open to the public and their pups.

Lucky’s Mars Area Dog Festival will feature will feature a variety of activities including a doggie talent show, contests such as: howling, owner/dog look alike and even best owner/dog kiss; other games, face painting and pet adoptions will also take place. Biggies Bullies, a local shelter devoted to rescuing, rehabilitation and re-homing bully breed type dogs, will be on location with several dogs in need of loving homes.

Double Wide Grill hosts the now annual Lucky’s Dog Festival events after becoming the first business in Allegheny County to legally provide a designated dog section at the restaurant’s South Side location. With the overwhelming turnout of last year’s event, the restaurant has decided to extend the festival to their Mars location while continuing the tradition in South Side as well. Generous sponsors include: Good Shepherd Veterinary Hospital and Absolut Vodka.
