What You Can Do in Your 20s, 30s, 40s and Up to Prevent Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is not just an older person’s problem. People in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, especially women, can reduce their chances of developing this debilitating condition later in life by understanding what they can do now to help build stronger bones. This is the topic that Dr. Karen Schogel M.D. will discuss on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Revolution Physical Therapy in Cranberry Township.
"Awareness of bone health early in life will help prevent osteoporosis later in life,” said Dr. Schogel.
Dr. Schogel is a specialist in internal medicine at Schogel and Fardo Family Medicine, a Division of Genesis Medical Associates in Cranberry, as well as E-Record Medical Director for UPMC Passavant, and Health Informatics Medical Director for Genesis Medical Associates.
The seminar is open to the public and anyone interested in bone health is encouraged to attend. The event will include plenty of time for questions and answers with Dr. Schogel and is part of Revolution’s free community education series on wellness and healthy living. It will be held at Revolution’s facilities at 8001 Rowan Road in Cranberry Township. Following the seminar, Revolution will offer a free bone-building exercise class led by a physical therapist.
Revolution Physical Therapy is a licensed physical therapy clinic offering a fusion of physical therapy, nutrition, fitness, and sports performance.
