 for the opening night reception for Trevor King\, a Slippery Rock Univer
 sity graduate and artist.&nbsp\;Refreshments served\; live music by Ronn
 i Weiss\, blues vocalist.\nArtist Statement:\nAs a child\, I loved trave
 ling in the back seat of my parents' car. On long drives\, I would stare
  out the window\, gazing into the wild and unknown world outside and thi
 nk\, "On the other side of this glass\, things are happening\, people ar
 e living." I would dream about where I would find myself down the road\,
  where my destiny would lead me.&nbsp\; The works that I create are base
 d on this type of observation.&nbsp\;\nThe artworks selected for this ex
 hibit are ruminations on the past\, present and future. I have been insp
 ired by drawing connections between my own experiences and the lives of 
 my father and grandfather\, both individuals whose trade led to a certai
 n career. I hope to create a dialogue between labor and artistry.\n&nbsp
 \;
