Sweet Succulents

If you are one of the many people who do not possess a “green” thumb, try succulents. The wonderful thing about succulents is that they require very little attention—water occasionally and some sun.

Succulents love to live in containers such as rock garden concrete containers, terra-cotta pots, or just in the ground.  I have numerous containers that I leave outside all year-round—even in this, one of the coldest zones. They multiply to the size of the container and you can just pluck off a head, stick it in the soil and, like magic, it grows.

They are also very pleasant to the eye. My kids love their succulent plants and even name them. They’ve nurtured them through the years and these little plants always bring a smile.
