Rave Cinemas Breathes New Life into Old North Hills Movie Theater

It's official.

I saw the other day that Rave Cinemas has taken over the old Showcase Cinemas Pittsburgh North Location!!!

If you have been looking for a theater on McKnight Road that has hot dog and nacho combo specials on Wednesday, lower kids pricing (for those ages 3-11), lower premium pricing for 3-D movies and price reduction for 3-D movies for students, seniors and military, then look no further. RAVE Cinemas has arrived!

Where? Right across from Giant Eagle in Pine Creek Plaza.

Check the website for exact information on showtimes, pricing, specials, etc.

Now go ahead and RAVE about it! Get Pittsburgh Frugal and enjoy their specials and new pricing!

I was hopeful that the RAVE takeover would mean that a new owner was going to sink some money into it and revitalize it. However, a recent moviegoing trip there showed that its still the same dirty, poorly-maintained theater with slowpoke staff that it always was, just with a new name stamped on it.

Mark. As it is early in the 'takeover' I am still hopeful they will clean it up a bit.
