Q. My closet and dresser are both stuffed to capacity. How can I deal with my clothing clutter?
A. A change of season brings on a perfect opportunity to evaluate the incoming season of clothes as well as the outgoing season.
Look at each piece of clothing you have and ask yourself if you love it? Does it flatter your figure? Have you worn in the last year or two? Or will you wear it? Is it still in style?
If the answer is no, then grab a garbage bag and start tossing. There are plenty of people in need that could use what you no longer fit into or wear. After you've sorted and purged all items going into your closet or dresser and those items that may be going into storage, consider commiting to a "one in, one out" rule.
In other words, when you buy one new item, consider donating one item. This will help keep your closet clutter under control for good. Your bag(s) of clothes can be donated to the nearest Goodwill Center, a local church rummage sale or some other charity of your choice.
