Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

You Tell Us: Where is the Best Place To Celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

So, Patch readers: Where do YOU go either in the Cranberry area -- or Western PA to celebrate the green on March 17? If you don't see your favorite Irish pub, please be sure to add it to our map!

Patch asked for your favorite St. Patrick's Day gathering places around Western Pennsylvania, and you answered!

An interactive map of reader-recommended places to gather March 17 is posted above.

So if you're looking for a place to enjoy a great Guinness while wearing green, be sure to check out the posted suggestions.

Locally, the Cranberry Sports Grille on Freedom Road in Cranberry is offering a number of drink and foods specials, Irish music and dancing at family friendly events Saturday, March 16 (known as "St. Practice Day") and Sunday, March 17.

The annual Shamrock Shuffle to benefit the Zelienople-Harmony Chamber of Commerce and the Zelienople Rotary Club also takes place Saturday, March 16 in Harmony.

The half marathon portion of the shuffle kicks off at 7:30 a.m. The 5K race begins at 10 a.m. and the one-mile fun run is at 10:45 a.m.

Of course, it wouldn't be a St. Paddy's day race without green beer.

Some of the shuffle's unusual (and fun!) aspects include keg stands, jello shots and crazy water stations. The green beer also will be flowing to the race's finishline.

Is your favorite pub or restaurant missing from our map? You can include it by hitting the "add" button on the map or submit the address to have it placed on the map.

And tell us in the comments: Why is this is your favorite spot to spend this festive holiday?

For runner and fitness buffs, The Shamrock Shuffle at the Center of Harmony. Enjoy a 1 mile family run/walk, 5k or 1/2 marathon. The shops are open in town and there is a band at the Harmony Inn after the race. Stop by and check it out! Then finish the day with the great events that Dennis mentioned above!
