Whiz Kid: Rowan Student’s Warhol-Influenced Art Wins Award

William Price's painting was selected from more than 600 entries.

The Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV’s executive director recently honored William Price, a fourth-grade student at with the Creativity Award for his painting, “Warhol Cow Wallpaper.”

William’s work was selected at the organization’s 2012 Very Special Arts Exhibit.

The award was initiated four years ago to celebrate the creativity of area students. Each year, one piece is selected from the Very Special Arts Exhibit for this honor. William’s painting was chosen from more than 600 entries.

For his effort, William received $50, a certificate of recognition and the distinction of having his work become a part of the permanent collection exhibited at the MIU IV offices in Grove City.
