I second those recommendations! As well as letting dogs in our parks!!

Allowing residence to walk their dogs in the parks, on the trails, not just fenced in dog parks. We end up going to north park or Richland park so we can take our dogs.

Agree with dogs allowed in the parks! Privatize the garbage pick up and make our golf course less expensive and user friendly. Finally get back to a Halloween parade for the kids! Increase the speed limit on Powell from 25mph to 35 and lower the speed in neighborhoods from 25 mph to 15.

Place weight limits on township roads like a Westmoreland county township did a couple years ago. Cut down on maintenance costs, greatly improve the quality of life, and maybe even save a life.

I'd like a Trader Joe's, Original Pancake (much better than IHOP), sidewalks and bike trails and stop building. Cranberry is getting uglier. We'll end up looking like Monroeville.

By far the biggest improvement to this township would be the removal(by resignation or retirement) of a major embarrassment to this area, which would be Representative Daryl Metcalf. This area is a laughing stock to others in the region because of the views of this bigoted, moronic despot.

Widen 228 before North Catholic opens. Continued attention to keeping the fields at Graham Park at the Highest Quality(I am starting to see a lack of proper maintence on the baseball fields). I agree with widening Freedom Road. A similar movie theatre to Lowe's in the Waterfront.

I think it would be great if there was more focus on planning and attention to detail when new construction begins. It seems that new buildings are being haphazardly placed without properly utlilizing space or maintaining the landscape. Plus, there are so many empty retail locations! Why do we need more buildings when current ones are not filled?

That everyone living in Cranberry is patient, understanding and kind, especially when traffic is heavy, and that everyone will donate time and love to help someone else.

SIDEWALKS, SIDEWALKS, AND SIDEWALKS, also Street lights in neighborhoods that do not have them would be great. Especially along the new bike route so we can see the people using it (people do use it after dark).

How about some real urban planning? Simply allowing the township to pick the materials of the facade does not count. How about neighborhods instead of enclaves? What was so wrong with the street that I live on connecting to the street that you live on? Why does every new development pretend that no other developments exist? How about a street grid instead of a cul-de-sac nightmare? Just some thoughts but the new neighborhoods of this area suck...how about forcing people to design new neighborhoods as if another one exists next to it and a new one will exist on the other side? Street grids not dead ends! Sidewalks and trees are not the enemy. How's that for a resolution!

Amen Matt. I recently relocated to the area and as I'm exploring I am shocked at the lack of direction and planning. At first glance it appears Cranberry has a lot to offer, when actually it doesn't. The movie theater is mediocre at best, the Target store has to be one of the oldest models they have out there; most areas across the country updated to Super Targets years ago. Everything seems so disconnected. You drive up 228 and have a handful of choices, then you have to drive on 19 for a few more. The area could more than support an actual shopping mall instead of stores just popping up here and there. If you are in a hurry don't go anywhere on Freedom Road; none of the lights are synchronized. The plaza on Freedom Road with Shop N Save and CVS is the most difficult to get in and out of. There are poor restaurant choices too. Cranberry could use some of the more popular restaurants such as Cracker Barrel, Original Pancake House, Qdoba and even some independent restaurants.. How about some healthy stores too - Trader Joe's and Fresh Market are two that would do well here. I also agree that we need to focus on filling up the empty spaces (Kuhn's Market, Dick's) before building more. Of course sidewalks and trees are always good.
