Visions for Vacancy: What Should Move into the Former Rite Aid?
Tell us what you would like to see occupy this empty storefront in the Cranberry Mall.
The former Rite Aid at the Cranberry Mall shopping center along Route 19 has been empty for quite awhile now.
For this week’s Vision for Vacancy, we want to know what business you think would make a good fit for this location.
In prior polls, readers indicated they’d love to see a Bath & Body Works at the former Steamers Coffee & Tea Company, which is located in the Streets of Cranberry.
A Trader Joe’s was the most popular choice for the former Kuhn’s Market in the Cranberry Mall while readers thought a Firehouse Subs would be a good fit for the former DiCarlo’s Pizza in Cranberry.
Consider that wish granted. A Firehouse Subs is exactly what the Pittsburgh Business Times reports is moving into that spot overlooking Route 19.
So, what would you like to see occupy former Rite Aid?
Is there something that would benefit the Cranberry area community? How could this space better serve you and your neighbors?
Share your thoughts, ideas and concerns in the comments. Tell us what your vision is for this Cranberry Township vacancy.

A sea food market with even better prices than Wholeys and a great deal closer than beating downtown.
