Southwest Airlines Announces Nonstop Service Between Pittsburgh and Palm Beach
The new, seasonal service, begins on Valentine's Day, 2013.
Cranberry snowbirds now have a new place to land nonstop.
Southwest Airlines announced Wednesday it will begin daily, nonstop, seasonal service from Pittsburgh International Airport to Palm Beach International Airport on February 14, 2013. Flights may be booked at www.southwest.com.
“Our region’s travelers love to fly to southern Florida in the winter,” said Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald in a statement. “This seasonal daily service from Pittsburgh to West Palm Beach will give travelers another competitive choice in making their travel plans. We are excited to see that Southwest has added a new destination from Pittsburgh and look forward to even more locations moving forward.”
“The Airport Authority is thrilled to be able to share in the announcement because this is the first time nonstop daily Pittsburgh-Palm Beach service has been offered since 2007,” said Allegheny County Airport Authority Chairman David Minnotte. “Our customers have clamored for this flight to return. Southwest has agreed with us that the regional demand for this market is very strong.”

Glad you are "thrilled" about SW Air service to Palm Beach but most people I know are not "thrilled"about flying any where, any more. Thanks to the TSA feel up and peek-a-boo tactics and the airlines themselves. And they can't start until next year?
Will they fly anywhere else more civilized than Florida?
