Santa Claus Comes to Cranberry
The township's annual Light Up Night was held Friday
Hundreds of people gathered at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center on Friday to welcome Santa Claus as he arrived for Cranberry’s Light Up Night.
In these modern times, there was no sleigh for Kris Kringle. Instead, Santa came to town on a fire truck decked out in Christmas lights. After high-fiving his way through the crowd in front of the township building – and finding his Mrs. Claus – Santa hit the switch to light the community Christmas tree.
Besides Santa, the night featured family activities, including stations inside the municipal center where children could decorate a cookie, make an ornament or design a bracelet. The Butler County Notables Barbershop Chorus also performed at the event.
