Rowan Elementary students and staff are showing they care.

During the spring and summer months, the school’s staff members, students and parents raised funds and awareness for autism research.

Staff members purchased “Autism Awareness – Hope, Acceptance and Love” T-shirts while students brought in their spare change for the school’s fundraiser, “Changing the Future of Autism.”

Staffers also contributed money to participate in casual dress days at the school while Rowan Parent Teacher Organization members gave donations to the cause.

In addition, several current and retired Rowan staff members walked in the Autism Walk, sponsored by Autism Speaks, held in Pittsburgh in June.

Through the various activities, Rowan was able to raise $1,239 for autism research. Check out Rowan Elementary School staff members above in the T-shirts they purchased to “change the future of Autism.”
