Roads Getting Slick: See Conditions Before You Head Out

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh is forecasting several inches of snow Friday afternoon, and road conditions are deteriorating.

Map Legend:

  • Red: Slow or stopped traffic
  • Yellow: Expect delays but traffic is moving
  • Green: all clear

12:48pm - Just came north on 279/79 from the North shore. 279/79 was not bad, snow covered but dry where the cars are driving, passing lane was actually the best. Conditions deteriorate rapidly on the Warrendale off ramp and through the Thorn Hill Industrial park - totally snow covered and icy in many spots. Only going to get worse!
