After reading the Hunger Games trilogy, members of Seneca Valley Intermediate High School’s Library Club/ Reading Competition team held a service project to help ensure others don’t go without.

In honor of the Hunger Games movie, which opened March 23, the students held a "Hunger Games" food drive at the intermediate high school.

In just four days, more than eight boxes of non-perishable food items and paper products were collected. The donations then were given to the Southwest Butler County Food Cupboard for distribution to local families in need.

All students who brought in donations also were entered in a drawing for free movie passes, music gift cards, posters and books. Eight lucky students went home with the prizes compliments of the club.
