North Park's ice-skating rink will open for the 2011-12 season on today, weather permitting, the Allegheny County Parks Department announced.
The skating season extends through mid-March.
Free and paid skating lessons will be available for county residents ages 5 and older. The ice rink will sell gift certificates and be available to rent for special occasions.
