News Nearby: Bottom Dollar To Host Job Fair Today
The grocery store chain is looking to fill 40-50 full-time and part-time positions for its new store on McKnight Road in Ross Township.
Bottom Dollar Food is hosting a job fair for its new McKnight Road location on Wednesday July 11 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hampton Inn, 4575 McKnight Road.
The chain announced last month that it was opening a new store in Ross Towne Center in August. It will be located between the now closed Roomful Express and the Goodwill Industries store, at 7221 McKnight Road.
A few weeks after the Bottom Dollar announcement, Giant Eagle confirmed it was opening a discount version of its chain, Valu King, right next door in the old Roomful Express location. The Valu King is expected to open sometime in the fall.
Bottom Dollar is seeking applicants for 40-50 full-time and part-time positions, including sales associates, customer service associates, and grocery and fresh department positions.
Potential candidates are encouraged to attend the job fair, and bring a resume, if available. When possible, interviews will be held at the job fair. Interested applicants may apply online at www.bottomdollarfood.com or e-mail resumes at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Early this year, Bottom Dollar Food opened 11 locations in the greater Pittsburgh market. The job fair is focused on recruiting associates for its new positions to support the company’s growth in the region, the company said in a statement.
Bottom Dollar Food operates 51 stores in three states—Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Ohio.
