The preliminary hearing for a 29-year-old man charged with burglarizing a Pine Township home was postponed until Oct. 17.

Matthew Lohr, of Mars, was scheduled to appear Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge William K. Wagner.

Lohr is charged with felony counts of burglary, receiving stolen property and theft.

Northern Regional police charged Lohr with the Sept. 13 burglary of a home on Old State Road in Pine, during which jewelry was stolen and pawned at Treasure Chest in Richland Township, according to the criminal complaint.

He also faces multiple charges in Mars and Zelienople.

In the Mars case, 14 drug-related charges and 1 count of recklessly endangering another person were held for court Tuesday at a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Wayne D. Seibel.

Zelienople Police Department also charged Lohr with 58 felony counts of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal trespass. Lohr waived Tuesday’s preliminary hearing on those charges.

According to the criminal complaint filed by Zelienople police, Lohr is charged with stealing baseball cards and jewelery from a home on Emerson Drive in Zelienople on Aug. 30.

Less than a week later, he attempted to sell two of the stolen cards at Baseball Card Castle in Cranberry, the complaint said. He also sold jewlery taken from the home at the Cash For Gold in Shaler, the complaint said.

Butler County detectives also have filed charges against Lohr—two felony counts of providing a controlled substance to confined persons.

A Nov. 19 preliminary hearing is scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Peter H. Shaffer.

Lohr is in the Butler County Prison.
