Thirteen singers—including youths from Gibsonia and Valencia—are moving on to the next level in the 2013 Kean Quest Talent Search.
Hayden Unitas, of Gibsonia, and Sabrina Knox, of Valencia, are among 24 acts that performed Sunday in the first round of the fundraising talent competition at the Kean Theatre in Richland Township.
Breea Bonnett, 11, Natrona Heights, won the Audience Choice Award during her performance at Kean Quest, formerly Kean Idol.
Based on scores from a panel of judges, these singers will move onto semi-final competition on Sunday, March 17. The competition continues through April 5.
The semi-finalists are:

- Diana Craycroft, Munhall
- Abbey Evanko, Scott Township
- Sarah Fair, Allison Park
- Claire Fonzo, Irwin
- Sabrina Knox, Valencia
- Nicole Morrison, Aliquippa
- Pallavi Muluk, Baden
- Duet of Pallavi and Sruthi Muluk, Baden
- Kolette Tetlow, Mount Lebanon
- Hayden Unitas, Gibsonia
- Maura Yates, Sewickley
- Breea Bonnett, Natrona Heights
WPXI-TV's Trisha Pittman was the emcee.
The 2013 Kean Quest Talent Search benefits the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which in 2012 provided nearly $4.5 million to poor and low-income residents at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and The Arbors at St Barnabas.
Tickets are $10 and are available at the door.
