Hill Reappointed as School Board President, Gordon Vice President
Seneca Valley's reorganization meeting was held Monday.
At Monday’s reorganization meeting, Bob Hill was reappointed as president of the Seneca Valley school board in a 5-4 vote over Eric DiTullio.
After winning re-election in the November general election, Hill begins his fourth term on the board in 2012.
Eric Gordon, who is serving his first four-year term after joining the board in 2009, was appointed vice president in a 5-4 vote, also over DiTullio. Gordon replaces Jason Wehrle.
The board also welcomed new members Kelly Kopera, who in November defeated incumbent Joe Scalmogna for the Region 7 seat representing Seven Fields and Evans City, and Jim Nickel, whose Region 2 seat represents Cranberry.
Nickel replaces Anthony Storti, who chose not to seek re-election after serving eight years on the board.
The school board meets next at 8 p.m. on Jan. 4 in the cafeteria of the Intermediate High School.
